Meet Alex Nikitin
Alex Nikitin
Alex Nikitin is a founder of Parametrix
Research. Native of Belarus, Alex moved to the USA in 1992. While working
on his undergraduate degree, Alex clearly recognized the existing wide gap between
sports theory and its practical application. The intriguing possibility of bringing
the science and the art of coaching closer together has become his lifelong
interest. The pursuit of that lofty goal, as well as making sport science accessible
to the grassroots coaches, resulted in development of various software prototypes
and teaching tools that make sports science practical and useful
to swimming coaches of all levels.
Alex Nikitin has been coaching swimming at the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland,
Oregon since 1994. During his tenure at the MAC, he developed numerous Regional,
Oregon champions and record holders, as well as National Top 16 swimmers. Coach
Nikitin was voted "Oregon Age Group Coach Of The Year" in 2004 by
the group of his peers.
