Q: How do I register with Parametrix Research to gain access to password materials?
A: Access to premium materials is reserved exclusively to our clients. Once you become a client, an account will be created for you upon request, so you can login.

Q: What is Race Analyzer?
A: Race Analyzer™ is a comprehensive tool designed to collect, organize, analyze and evaluate swimmers' competitive performance. Races can be analyzed in real-time and from recorded material. Collected race data is presented in simple and readable format that enables you to identify strengths and weaknesses in performance and your swimmers optimal racing strategies. You can also write comments to their races for future review and comparison.

Q: How much does it cost to upgrade to version 2?
A: To upgrade Race Analyzer™ main licence from v. 1.3 to v. 2 - $45.
Each additional license purchased prior to release 2.0 can be upgraded for $15.

Licensed users who purchased Race Analyzer after September 1, 2007 can upgrade to v2 free of charge.

Q: Is version 2.0.xxx a free update?
A: All sub-versions of a major release 2.0 are a free updates.

Q: Should I update?
A: If you want to take advantage of the new features - yes!

Q: Who developed Race Analyzer?
A: Race Analyzer was created by Alex Nikitin who is a co-founder of Parametrix Research.

Installation And Unlocking Software

Q: How do I install Race Analyzer™?
A: To install Race Analyzer™ on Windows™ NT, 2000, XP, or VISTA (v2 only) you must be logged in on your PC as Administrator.

Q: What is required to run Race Analyzer?
A: We have compiled a list of requirements for the installation of Race Analyzer. The only tool you will need is your computer, and if your PC meets these requirements, you are ready to work.

Q: What do I need to do to obtain an Init. Code Key?
A: You must be a licensed user of the software to obtain an unlock key. Download a quick reference file (Adobe Acrobat PDF file) explaining this process.

Q: Do I need to have a unique Init Code key for every PC that I installed Race Analyzer program?
A: Yes, you do. The Init. code is ONLY valid for a PC that it was generated.

Purchasing a License

Q: How much does Race Analyzer cost?
A: You can refer to our pricing page to find the price for the full version, or additional licenses whichever is appropriate for your use.

Q: What if I want to talk to someone about licensing?
A: You can contact our Licensing Department using our inquiries form.

Q: Should I register software on my name or my Club's name?
A: The software can be licensed either to you or a club/team/employer, but not both. An exception can be made when you are the owner of your own team. We recommend you to license software on your name, so you can take it with you when moving to work for another club.

Q: Do you handle online credit cards payments?
A: No, we do not. When you make a purchase from Parametrix web site, all the transactions are processed by PayPal via their secure servers.

When you make a purchase, PayPal contacts us and supplies only the details of your order. Please note that we DO NOT receive the information about your credit card. Such information remains confidential between you and the online payment processing company.

Q: How do I request a feature?
A: The best way to request a feature is by posting a thread in the Feature Request Forum.

Q: What are the chances that my request will be implemented?
A: We consider and review every feature request. If a suggested feature / function adds a measurable value to the program, or helps to streamine an existing design, and technically feasible, it will be implemented.

Technical Support

Q: How can I get help for using Race Analyzer?
A: All licensed users of the software developed by Parametrix Research will receive technical support. You can access the help ticket system through your account if you have already purchased a license. Our page of support offerings lists our available support services.

Q: Is the old version 1.3 of Race Analyzer still supported?
A: No, v 1.3 is discontinued and no longer supported.

All current licensed users are encouraged to upgrade to the newest version of the program. Should you choose not to upgrade and keep the discontinued version of the software, you still will receive activation codes for the discontinued version 1.3 in case of license transfers or a total loss of your PC. However, sales, technical support and licensing of the version 1.3 is no longer available.
